 Bild: Global Airlines Eine völlig unbekannte neue Fluglinie hat nach eigenen Aussagen einen Airbus A380 gekauft. Mehr sollen folgen. Über die Pläne von Global Airlines ist sehr wenig bekannt. 100 Pfund – so hoch ist das einbezahlte Kapital von Global Airlines. Am 13. Juli 2021 wurde das Unternehmen mit Sitz im noblen Londoner Viertel Mayfair im Handelsregister des Vereinigten Königreichs eingetragen. Sein Zweck gemäß dem Eintrag: "Vertreter für den Verkauf von Maschinen, Industrieanlagen, Schiffen und Flugzeugen". Inzwischen reichen die Pläne deutlich weiter. Man wolle Fluggäste aller Klassen «in das Goldene Zeitalter der Luftfahrt zurückversetzen», so das Unternehmen am Montag (29. Mai) in einer Pressemitteilung. Deshalb habe man sich einen ersten Airbus A380 beschafft. Den Superjumbo habe man vom deutschen Finanzunternehmen Doric gekauft. Es besitzt 18 Airbus A380.
