Dear ProtonMail supporter,
We hope you are enjoying ProtonMail. ProtonMail accounts are still very rare and you are one of the lucky few who have managed to get an account!
When ProtonMail beta launched one month ago, so many people requested ProtonMail accounts that we were forced to implement a waiting list. We have received account requests from around the globe: from China to North America, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. The world is ready for privacy.
We want to provide free ProtonMail accounts to everyone so people can protect themselves from the mass surveillance perpetrated by governments and corporations worldwide. This is only possible if we can keep ProtonMail independent, and beyond the reach of corporate interests.
To accomplish this, we are raising funds from the community. If you would like to contribute to our Crowdfunding campaign, you can visit it here:
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/protonmail
This is how real change happens: every contribution, no matter how small, gets us closer to enabling privacy for everyone. Online privacy and freedom impacts each and every one of us. If we all stand together, we can build the future we want.
Thanks for supporting our fight to restore privacy,
Your ProtonMail Team
Andy, Jason, and Wei
