Das iPhone App Store hat im Smartphone-Segment viele Nachahmer gefunden. Doch auch für die etwas leistungsschwächeren "Feature Phones" stehen nun ähnliche Angebote in Aussicht. Qualcomms Lösung "Plaza" http://plaza.qualcomm.com verspricht leichtgewichtige Programme, sogenannte Widgets, für das mobile Internet und andere Anwendungen quer über diverse Handy-Plattformen.
